Lunch Time Talk: Tamogoyaki vs spam??

It was good. And I definitely tried making an octopus out of that half tomato... or I guess mushroom, yeah, looks more like a mushroom.

Lunch is probably my favorite hour of the day when I work. I get to unwind and eat (and watch news and Family Feud with the rest of the department!!), simple and yet so satisfying. Lunch is really important to me. Just when I think I'm about to die of hunger pains and low blood sugar from all the walking, lifting, and lots of thinking I have to do, a great lunch refuels me so I can give my all for the second half of the day. Sounds a bit dramatic, I know. But what the heck, I just love lunch!!

Okay enough with the dorkiness. Last week I tried creating Tamogoyaki but being in a hurry I realized too late that I didn't use a non stick pan (que face palm). So my eggs looked more scrambled than Tamogoyaki but I did add in tomato, green onions, and carrots so it was still delish nonetheless. I also added some Hawaiian spam (it's good people, sheesh), added some jasmine rice and lettuce leave and sprinkled some nuoc nam (Vietnamese fish sauce) all over. It was very very good. I have to create this again. Only next time use a nonstick pan...

I jut try to make different types of meals that a variety of foods. Experimentation is all it is. Another one is jasmine rice with chicken curry with carrots. Oh boy oh boy was it good. To mix things up I added brie cheese and jamon serrano with wheat bread.

Although this doesn't look as appetizing, it was still great. My dad made this awesome (and healthy) wrap! I forgot what brand it is, but the wrap itself is only 70 calories. That's equivalent for 1 hour of work for me.

Lunch adventures are fun. Hope to share more later!
