Starting something new...

Edit: before I go on, I just wanted to say I had no idea until I had gotten off of work today of the tragedy that happened in CT. My prayers go to the families... and in light of the wise words I heard at the vigil earlier, "keep those who you love close to you often, and tell them how much you love them..."

Hey guys! So today is an exciting day! I am debuting my youtube channel! I feel like it's been in my heart for quite a while now. I'm by no means a total expert or anything like that when it comes to fashion or makeup, but I will admit that I do have a few knowledgable things up my sleeve. Also I feel like so many people on youtube nowadays just advertise for products, and many makeup "artists" disregard different face shapes/colors/etc by only doing makeup on their own faces. So I'm hoping to bring a little bit of my knowledge and love for others on Youtube by spicing things up a bit and featuring different people on my channel, as well as doing my absolute best to stay away from sponsors (or at least minimize my activity with them).

Time and time again I always get asked questions about makeup or product tips and I just thought why not write up a blog about it? And then the next step is definitely on to videos right? It's just a little bit hard and different with videos because it just seems like everyone is on youtube making videos, which is totally fine too. But I realize I have too many time constraints and many people on youtube who are successful with their channels make it as their primary priority. Unfortunately, as much as I like makeup, I also really like where I am at the moment with physical therapy and being in school, obviously. But I see that I have these two passions, and honestly there's no rule book that says I can't do both.

In totality, I want to bring a different sort of channel. Rynel has been so helpful as to share his 7D with me, so we've been able to make some really great footage lately. Of course, I think it's the editing that takes a while. We plan to work as a team, and we're both really eager to learn, so we're hoping that we bring something up front that is at least enjoyable and fun to watch!

Without further ado, my first video!

Rynel and I are parting for a few weeks while he vacations with family and I vacation with my family back in Houston, so I'll be using my dad's Nikon then. But I promise to have some really great videos!

Now, I got to get ready for work at the clinic!!!

Love,

Jacq
