There's something calming about the rain and (of course) not having to go to work on Mondays. Beautiful, and yet somehow a little empty and solemn. I find peace in all these things. Days off when it's not the weekend really get you to reflect on life and it gives you time to do busy work that you intend to finish **ahem research project**.
And when I need a break I knit and read. And, of course, working out is part of the essential schedule.
This past Saturday I got to see Rynel for a few hours after work (10 hours anyone? on a beautiful cool autumn Saturday too?). His family had came to visit to Houston for a small weekend vacation. The tiny amount of time I saw him was all I needed to refuel myself. As much as I prepare myself I'm always so burnt out by the end of the week. Coffee has been a huge lifesaver for me, and now I am a full on coffee addict. It surprises me how fast I became best friends with Sherri at the JSH first floor Starbucks - she makes the best pumpkin spice latte!
One thing that's upsetting me if the quality of my pictures. They look great on the original file but when I upload them on blogger they have pixelations!! Not cool. Ah anyhow, on to more knitting... and hopefully more blogging.
