Hallo!!
As my title goes... today has been fairly relaxing and non stressful. Started the day off cooking a Filipino breakfast and Kate and I preceded into cleaning the apartment upside down and doing laundry. It's kind of sad because I really thought it was therapeutic. Reflecting back on it, cleaning and clearing your mess really is therapeutic. I felt much less stressed even though I hadn't gotten anything scholastic done yet, but definitely a good way to start off the day. By the way, did I mention I slept like 10 hours? It felt wonderful!! I figured that by now, I'll always be stressed so I'm just going to take at it day by day and not worry ahead. I know God has this in for me, and everything will fall into place. I trust Him in that.
I managed to cook Tinolang Manok today! I wish I took pics, but I think I was too hungry to care. I love any sort of chicken soup/broth type of meal. It's so calming! Mystery Man also really loves my tinola.

Another purpose for this blog is to RAVE about my favorite product that I've purchased all summer. It's none other than my Chanel Hydra Beauty Creme. I particularly have problem dry and dehydrated skin, no matter how much water I drink of whatever cleanser I use. I know that it isn't primarily the products I'm using that's causing my face to dry up because my mom and my sister both have dry skin as well (darn genetics...).
I stumbled on this creme when I had gone in at Nordstrom to buy the Chanel Vitalumier Aqua Foundation and the sales associate put this on my face first to moisturize and prime. I thought it particularly interesting too that she didn't put it on my face to coax me into buying it, I had just warned her that I had dry skin, so she instantly gave me this creme without a thought or any explanation as to what it was. Once I had tried on the creme and foundation together I was more thoroughly impressed with the creme so much more than the foundation (although it is #2 in my top foundations list). I just loved loved loved the way my skin felt with this. It gave me baby smooth extremely hydrated skin. My Chanel Vitalumier worked so well with it too, albiet my Shiseido is my top favorite foundation. It has a slight smell to it, but it's a regal smell and not too overpowering.
This creme along with any foundation just gives an extra oophm for the texture to your skin that doesn't make it look like it's cakey - pretty much like you've got nothing on! It's so light weight I forget often that I'm even wearing it. It works all day and really gives your skin a glow even without foundation. Since there's no SPF, if I don't wear foundation (all of mine contain an SPF!) then I put on my Clarins Ecran Multi-Protection with SPF 40 (I'm all about sun protection!). My skin feels smooth, moisterized, and has a great textured look on my face. I've seen over the past few weeks that the pores around my nose have been shrinking and not to mention my face is clearer! Over the summer I had a huge case of hormonal acne, and this really aided in getting rid of my acne. If only it would take away my hyperpigmentation scars, that'd be awesome!
The only and possibly BIGGEST downside? It's super expensive!! At $87 dollars without tax you would think it's almost not worth it. But I have honestly never come across a product like this before and it's worth my money. I've bought it literally a month ago and I think I have about another month on it left. I know it would last me even longer but I loved this thing so much I put excess night and day for the first 2 and 1/2 weeks. When I realized I was zooming through it I started being more careful with how much I used daily. Because it is so expensive, I'm hoping I'll discover products that have similar effects with a less expensive price in the future. But for now I'm absolutely in love and I will definitely buy more of it!
That's it for today! Back to studying!

As someone quite a bit older, I also agree that this product is the best!! Hard to find lately. Macys sold me Hydra Max and Active Cream instead. Kind of like vasaline, just lays on top of the skin unlike the Hydra Beauty that absorbs! Make sure they sell you the right product.
