New Years Resolutions + Blogging EVERY DAY in January!

Hello everyone! I apologize for the hiatus. I've been in a kind of a detox mode. It makes sense, of course, after having a bit of a traumatic year that I would spend the past three weeks literally sleeping and doing mild liesure activities - namely reading, watching movies, and surfing the web. Sprinkle in some shopping, plenty of eating, perhaps a workout, and of course FAMILY, and that's a basic summary of my break thus far. Not so productive, isn't?

You would think I could write and type up a blog, but I realized I would just stay away from the blogosphere and reserve my writing later when I don't have a writers block. Regardless, now I feel that it is time to get productive once more. After all, I do start school in less than a week (WHAT??).

I have made it a challenge to blog everyday for the month of January. Yes, EVERY DAY. About something meaningful - with substance. So I guess, in a way, this is my introductory post. Anyhoo, I have a list of New Years Resolutions. And no, I'm not one that takes a liking into making resolutions only at the beginning of the year. But I figured, symbolically, that this would be a time for me to really change and give myself a new outlook now that 2012 is behind me. Read my last blogpost for more on that. So without further ado, my resolutions:

1. Maintain good grades and not just memorize my info but to really grasp it - understand it - apply it. This is a no-brainer, I love physical therapy and doing well with what I love to do. My goal is to maintain my GPA above a 3.8.

2. I want to make sure I cover base all material on a regular basis for the rest of the semester, until clinical rotations in 4 months. Thankfully my schedule isn't as packed as last year, so this gives me time to really stay on top of my information.

3. Update my blog more often with substantial information about beauty related topics and to create more videos. I really need to keep up with this! Now that I plan on really managing my time and with the help of Rynel, I know I can achieve it. Thank you Oppa!

4. Think positively EVERY DAY, regardless of circumstance. I feel like I don't need to go into detail with this because I've dove deep into this subject in my last post. This is mainly for Rynel also, as it has been his request that we look into 2013 with positivity and make it more filled with God. Amen!

5. Communicate better in my relationships with close ones, colleagues, and classmates. Basically, just respect for others and their time.

6. By the end of the year I want to have read The Silmarillion by Tolkien and Warm Bodies. I'm going to look realistically about this, I know for a fact I can finish these two books, at least these two. I'm a pretty fast reader, so we'll see how it goes.

7. Become a dedicated yogi. I got an upgraded gym membership at a gym close by me so I'm excited to do yoga minimun 4 days a week (on top of other workouts other than yoga). I already started doing this before I left for Houston this break, and I absolutely LOVED it.

I want to be able to do the Chataranga pose perfectly and hold it there for 30 sec before the end of the month.
And that's it! I want my new year resolutions to be realistic so, yup that all of it in a nutshell. I hope you guys had a wonderful New Years. Blessings to all of you!

Love,

Jacq
